Three Gifts for Cinderella

The UK narrated version of this fairy tale has long been lost by the BBC archives but it features a strong storyline beautiful scenery and a White Horse called Eurocheq well i bet iv’e spelt that wrong! As the White Horses series was brought into the UK by Mrs Peggy Miller the then senior film buyer at the BBC so was “Three gifts for Cinderella” from the tales from Europe strand, it was transmited at 5.15 pm and narrated by Gabriel Wolf…

    oh my. the norwegian dubbing is definatly better than the english one. he is funny and makes different voices for the people without saying `he says` and `this is happening`. really annoying.

    This is the first time I see this UK version, and I must say, I’m shocked! Narrated by one single person changes the whole film, it makes it sterile!!! And worst, the beautiful songs are covered by chattering :-( What a cheap way of dubbing this masterpiece. why didn’t they just subtitle one of the two original versions (either the czech or the eastgerman)? All the atmospere of the original versions has gone, I surprised that THIS was a succes nevertheless

    Thank you for making my day. I remember watching this movie when I was a kid in the late seventies. I’ve been searching video stores and the net for a copy of this movie for a long time.
