1.gouge out your own eyes with a hot poker

2.dont beleive in god and hence dont beleive they are gifts from him or anyone else

3. chop off its head

4.dont own any or be near horses at any time

5. keep its mouth closed with some kind of bind and feed it through a tube in its nose

6. be really ungrateful for the gift horse and look in it its mouth regularly

The expression "Never look a gift horse in the mouth’ comes about because people check a horses age by looking at it’s teeth. (Looking in it’s mouth). If some one gave you a horse for a present (gift). You didn’t look in it’s mouth as this would have been considered an insult, or very rude to say the least.
