used to tell someone to be grateful for something that has been given to them, instead of asking questions about it or finding something wrong with it.

When jugding the quality of a horse you look at it’s teeth to tell age and health. Basically if you are given someyhing just accept it gracefully (just check it out later)

Don’t check a gift for flaws or wish for a different one (or at least not in front of the person that gave it to you)
