Musician, singer-songwriter Barney Bentall is back with his first recording in 10 years. The former leader of Vancouver rock band Barney Bentall & the Legendary Hearts returns with a collection of songs on his new album “Gift Horse”. Released in the fall of 2006 this is Barney’s brand new EPK to promote the album. Check it out!

Bought the CD …
Bought the CD awhile ago but have been playing it a lot in the car lately – especially love “Dance For Me”, “Dream of the Day”, “Ballad of Old Tom Jones”. Played it today for a friend – she`s hooked. Says she doesn’t remember him but I’m sending her some videos to remind her. She’ll remember! Great to hear the new music. Wnat to know when he’ll be in Ottawa next – missed the last one.

I’ve never posted …
I’ve never posted before and didn’t know I was limited to 500 characters so I didn’t get to finish properly! I worked at Sam the Record man in ‘88 when BB’s debut LP came out and caught him at Night Moves here in WPG that year. I was hooked and bought every release afterwards. Now my kids are HUGE fans (They love “Something to Live for,” “Doin’ Fine” & “Up Around the Bend”). How bout an unplugged CD of your previously released tunes?

Each BB album …
Each BB album reminds me of a significant event and period that happened in my life: working at the record store with the first album, the Gulf War with “Lonely Avenue”, my college years with “Ain’t Life Strange”, my wedding with “Gin Palace” the birth of my daughter with “Till Tomorrow”, my job promotion with the greatest hits CD, and Halloween(!) with “Gift Horse.”
