I agree with you but only so far. Yes do not get me wrong but Arabs are beautiful horses just the way they carry themselves and how their frame is built. But on the other hand every single horse that God has created I believe are equal to one another, they are all beautiful and graceful. People who dont love horses, or understand horses, will never know what its like to ride the wind, or dance with fire. Horses are incredibly intelligent and can love a human just as much as we can love them, if not more. But I do agree with you that Arabs are one of Gods greatest creations made with beauty. We should love all the horses. References : My Thought
I’ll admit they are BEAUTIFUL…but the greatest gift??? NO WAY!!
Try to convince me to give up my foundation quarter horses…ain’t gonna happen.
Try to convince some of these others to give up their Tennesse Walkers, Thoroughbreds, Crosses, Paints…you name it…not gonna happen.
One more…try to convince some little child somewhere…who got their first pony…or a just a "plain old horse"…that their pony/horse isn’t God’s greatest gift. References :
I’m glad you enjoy arabs. They are beautiful animals….but that said, they definitely are not one of my favorite breeds. Not a thing against those who love them….there are lots of people who wouldn’t give 50 cents for my breed of choice. But that’s the great thing about this world….there’s lots of variety available so that everyone can have their favorite, and vive la difference!!! References :
HA! All breeds of horses originated from the Arabian. So all of them have Arabian DNA. I love Arabians personally so I guess I love all breeds of horses. And I do really, References :
Lol… I think my horses where the greatest gift. =P
But Arabs are beautiful, and they are a fondation breed, so without them some of our breeds today wouldn’t exist. =) References :
Horses in genral are the greatest gift from god, arabs arent my fancy tho. I love QHs and TBs, and grade horses. Just like mutts are great, so are grade horses, epecailly mine, he is like the BEST cross. Hey cnsdubie I have one of those sayings to….
On the 8th day, God created Quarter Horses
On the 9th day, he "painted" the good ones
In the past that saying has gotten me chewed out on here, but since you put yours on, thought I would throw mine in as well. Have a great day!! References :
The best horses I have ever owned were all cross breeds. It is my solid opinion that pure bred horses are snobs (lol said with a laugh because I know there are wonderful full bred horses out there) and a cross bred is modest because they know they are not the most lovely to look at and so they work harder. My first horse was actually a pony, POA and Welsh cob cross. Large head, small body, Huge Heart! My second was a Russian Arab/ Appy cross. I will never have a better horse than her… she got the arab extra long spine, the appy height, arab face and speed, but the pour gal had the appy mane.. sigh… another great cross is the throughbred/ morgan cross… (the old style throughbred with the large hooves, not the tiny racer hooves) lovely, hard working, dependable, and a pocket baby at heart!! I could go on, I have owned 12 horses since I started out at 9 years old. The only one I ever had trouble with was a pure blood quarter horse who tried to kill my mother on three ocassions.
On the other hand, I do think Arabs are lovely to watch as they run, but my faves to look at are Andalusian and Friesian. *big grins* References :
At the moment I have 6 horses. Two British Warmbloods one British Warmblood foal, two show ponies and one Arab x Welsh Cob.
My warmbloods are deep horses, silent thinkers you never know what they’re thinking till they decide to tell you. If they flip my god they flip. They also tend to sulk if told off.
My show ponies are fun, slightly skitso but they never sulk and quite often look as if they are tutting at you.
My Arab x Cob is definately the sneakiest, craftiest, knowing horse i’ve ever had. He knows everything, if I tell him off he comes up and apologises and give me kisses but is very good a giving me stinking looks as well.
I love all my horses, but I have to say that my Arab x is probably the trickiest.
I’m not bothered by the way the Arab moves all my horses have really good paces, but boy he does love to show off. Really good entertainment value. References :

Nope, disagree.
Having a view that only one breed is the greatest gift is narrow minded.
I am personally agnostic, but I believe that ALL horses are a gift from the gods.

Arabs are delicately beautiful, graceful, agile, versatile, intelligent, spirited–hot blooded–wonderful trail endurance horses.
That said, I would prefer an Arab/Quarter horse cross to tone down the "hot blood" and add some size as well.

Well…a nice, quality Arabian horse is a lovely thing to behold, true.
But as a gaited rider, I have to say this:
On the eighth day, God said, "Horses should not trot."
And the GOOD horses listened.
