This is Drae opening one of his Christmas presents. It’s his first Christmas as my horse :]! I knew he would love having the excuse to rip the paper to shreds, he loves to destroy everything and eat everything! Haha. Its so cute the way he rips a piece off, puts in on the ground, and rips another piece. But then he gets sick of that and just chucks the present around until it rips open, then he wouldn’t let go of it when I tried to open the bag of treats for him! He is so cute! I LOVE YOU DRAE!

What does it mean to show a horse? [and other horse terminoglogy for the horse-terminology gifted]?

So, like, what does it mean to show a horse? Not in racing or whatever, but just to SHOW a HORSE. Show a horse what? Also, what’s the difference between ‘Western’ riding and ‘English’ riding?

To me, "showing" a horse is not participating in a competition (like in western pleasure or jumping) but taking it into the ring and SHOWING it to the judges and having it judged in a points system. I’m not sure what term you guys use for that, but to me, that is the meaning of a "show".
Western riding and English riding…. different saddles, different techniques… Wikipedia has huge articles on it
