Apart from passes, can i get black market items any other ways?
How can i get passes without paying money?
Can i send gifts to friends?

Right now, you can make fruit salads (read more in the forums on those) where you can trade in ingredients for bm items. You can also check out the exchanges and offer other bm items you don’t want for ones you do, or equus. A few players have competitions in their forums where you can compete for free prizes of bm items.
Ways of earning passes:
* you earn 1 pass for every 5 karma points acquired
* you earn one or several passes when your horse which was sold against passes in private sales has been bought
* you earn one pass for each horse over the age of 30 that you send to heaven, with the limit of 30 passes during a period of 30 days
* you can buy a pass with the money from your reserve on Howrse as of your 50thday on Howrse. You can can buy one every 30 days’ registration after this. This will cost you 20% of your monetary reserve.
sending gifts to friends- go to their page, and one of the buttons on the top says send a gift or something like that. click it, pick your gift, and send.
You cant send horses to friends but once you have 3 karma points and 2+ horses you can access the private sales where you can reserve any horse to your friends for 500e. If you want to get more confusing you can also have them send you a crap horse for 500e so neither player spends or earns money and both horses were technically free.

My horse opening his Christmas present!

This is Drae opening one of his Christmas presents. It’s his first Christmas as my horse :]! I knew he would love having the excuse to rip the paper to shreds, he loves to destroy everything and eat everything! Haha. Its so cute the way he rips a piece off, puts in on the ground, and rips another piece. But then he gets sick of that and just chucks the present around until it rips open, then he wouldn’t let go of it when I tried to open the bag of treats for him! He is so cute! I LOVE YOU DRAE!
