Good gift to get for a horse friend?

I ride with a girl who is leaving to go to college soon. I want to get her something but I don’t know what..any ideas?
Does she have a horse? If so, is she taking it to college with her? If this is the case, ask her what kinds of things she needs for her horse. We horse people LOVE getting the things we need for our horses as gifts whether it be a new bucket of treats for when we run out, a new lead rope if ours needs replacing, or even a new set of bell boots or splint boots! Horses are expensive so we GREATLY appreciate when friends and family consider or ask us what we need for our horses and get those things for us vs getting us something trivial and "useless" like horse earrings or a new shirt. Haha
If she has a horse but can’t take it with her, consider making a collage of pictures of her and her horse in a nice frame for her to hang in her dorm room. Or take a really nice photo and frame it. Or find one of those frames with multiple places for pictures and fill it with pictures of her and her horse.
If she doesn’t have a horse, then figure out what she likes to do. Does she like to draw? Get her a sketch book and some nice drawing tools so she can draw horses to her heart’s content. Or find a book that helps to draw horses. I have a great book that not only gives you tips on shading and how to draw them, but anatomy as well such as the skeletal and muscular structure. Anatomy is important to drawing! Does she like to read? Find out what kind of horse series she likes to read or find a good horse book. Or what about a book of horse breeds!
The possibilities are endless.

New Years Eve – Asia, Philippines, Fireworks, Red Horse, Videoke, Karoke, Girls,

Gotta go pickup the Filipina cleaning lady. She’s waiting at a gas station. I’m so tired. Jeeeesus. At the apt just hanging out, and it’s Dec 31st, 2010. Oh man, I’m a nasty eater. Tons of ants eating Robi’s pizza crust. You want to live in the Philippines, guys? Get ready for ANTS. TONS AND TONS OF ANTS!
Robi wakes up and gives all you SYKos the middle finger salute. I love when he wakes up. I love questioning Robi like a mother. What time did you get home last night?? Taking Tarlac girl to her apt to get her outfit. I’m trying to lure cats into my trip.
Dropped her off and went to the gym. I’m complaining that I won’t be in AC for New years. I’m not at KFC. Hair cut time. Head back to the apt. First it’s on to the Jollibee drive thru. Pump some Filipino gas at the gas station.
Back at the apt, Robi arrives with Filipino laundry. Jollibee spaghetti time, mmm masarap. So our cleaning lady bought us a Filipino New Year’s gifts. Robi probably left to get his nut at Matrix Braun. Heading off to Tarlac now on the bike.
Back in Tarlac City now for New Year’s Eve. It’s dark but I hear my brother. I’m now creeping around my stepmom’s house in Tarlac. My brother wants me to move a car. Tito Larry arrives. I’m telling Larry why Robi didn’t join me. Larry wants to set me up with mountain people.
Off to buy fireworks. Trying to find Jin Jin first haha. Aggressive fireworks vendors. Back at the house and I’m drinking some pure buko juice. Wow, I’m listening to bling bling. Now the family has arrived and the festivities have started.
Now I tell Tito Larry our plan. I invite Tito Larry to Angeles City. Time for the sparklers and Filipino fun. Oh my god there’s so much blood! It really looks like warfare on the streets. Happy Filipino New Year’s everybody. Larry is trying to light my failed firework. They are crazy.
The good think about being in Tarlac is Tarlac girl is also there for new years. Lucky for me, hah!?!? Time to drive in the streets and pick up my girl. Tito Larry is talking to Tarlac girl on the phone. I meet Tarlac girl’s mom. Intense stare down.
Now walked to Tito Rick’s house. I’m trying some new food. Good stuff. Now it’s time for what Filipinos love to do best: videoke and singing. I want Larry to sing. Now it’s my turn to try my hand at some videoke. Rap song time!
Larry is running away and hiding. He feels sleepy. I’m telling him he needs energy for tomorrow. We head out and hit up Pan de Manila since it’s the only place open for food. Even McDonalds is closed. Some guys outside dropped their cell phone in the sewer and they are trying to get it out.
I drop off Tarlac girl and head back to the house. I’m impressed that I have my own bathroom (with flush).

i am friends with a male horse rider but ive searched all over amazon but it only comes up with presents for girls, Help Me Please his birthday is next month but i really want to find something soon, Thankyou

My husband is a calf roper (rodeo) so over the years I’ve gotten him:
-Custom made spurs with his initials on them ($450)
-A bit that matches his spurs ($500)
-New western shirts (they can never have enough- $50- $80)
-A nice baseball cap (if your friend is a roper look for a Hooey hat… is the new "in" brand- $30-$50)
-A custom made headstall ($300)
-A nice belt (he’s won a lot of buckels so he’s constantly switching them out- $100-$400)
- A nice leather halter with his good rope horse’s name on it ($120)
- Bell boots ($30)
-Skid Boots($50)
- Pro choice boots($100)
Look through his tack room and see what looks a little worn out… I find we can never have enough bell boots and whatnot! (If you’re not familiar with horses go to your local tack store and ask for no-turn bell boots)
Thing NOT to get!!
-Boots (they have got to be tried on)
- A cowboy hat (men are CRAZY PICKY about their hats!)
- Ropes (crazy picky about those too)
I swear men are SO much harder to buy for than women! Good luck!
