Should I trade in jewelry from my ex-fiancee?
By admin on Mar. 31, 2010.
He broke off the engagment 2 days after valentines day. We had been together for about 2 yrs. I have a horseshoe necklace with dimonds in it that he gave me for christmas last yr because I love horses and then I have a saphire and diamond promise ring that he sent me while he was in the middle of his deployment to the middle east. Both pieces have a lot of feelings and emotions behind them. I don’t know if i could even wear the necklace with out thinking about that stuff, much less what to do with the promise ring. The jewelry store he bought them from takes trade ins and I could pick out something for myself. I just don’t know if i should keep them or not.
opps I forgot to mention. He told me that he wanted me to keep them when I tried to give them back. Hence the fact of I don’t have the actual engagment ring anymore.
It is up to you, dear. You can give them back to him, tell him you do not want to keep it any more, because your thing is over. On the other hand you also can keep it, even wear it. You can trade them just like the other jewelries you have. Or just hide it in a secret place, after a few years, when you see them again, see what’s your feeling then. I think you will never mind any more.

Ok also my step son that lives with us is going to his mothers for a few days before Christmas and will be getting back either Christmas night or the day after Christmas. How should we work the presents. He is really upset about not being able to be here for Christmas he really wants to open his presents with the girls and us so I was thinking go ahead and open most of our presents Christmas morning but leave a couple to open with him when he got home thats when he will be opening the presents from us. Also how should we work the santa thing normally every year santa leaves a unwrapped present for our children and fills their stockings with candy and a few little odd and ins. Since he wont be here at our house for Christmas his mom will be putting him up a stocking their and his present from santa so should we not fill his stocking and leave his present here to since he should get presents from santa in both place?? Thanks in advance for answers.
You could have Santa leave a little note saying something about knowing that he would be spending Christmas in two places so he left a few gifts here as well.
…or, where you’d usually leave his stocking put the note from santa giving clues for your step son and daughters to follow, leading them to a secret location where santa has left a few more gifts for each of them since they didn’t get to spend christmas morning together. hang the card from his stocking-holder with ribbon and have "TOP SECRET" and "FROM SANTA printed all over it, so your girls will see it and be excited about it will be able to tell him that yes, it did show up on christmas morning with everything else.

My in-laws are having a horse put to sleep tomorrow. What’s a good sympathy gift?
By admin on Mar. 31, 2010.
My husband’s parents are BIG horse enthusiasts and are having one of their favorite horses put to sleep tomorrow.
Naturally, they are very upset about it. My husband and I would like to get them a small sympathy gift to go with a card that has already been purchased.
Other than a frame with a picture of the horse, what would you recommend?
THANKS!!!!
Edited to add:
Other than some glue-themed gift! ![]()
Be there for them; you don’t have to say anything but "I’m so sorry, I know he/she meant a lot to you."
Try to get some photos of his head (preferably with his ears up…. or find an older one your husband might have).
Clip some of his mane off – enough that you can braid. Bind each section with a rubber band and gently wash. When dry, glue gun each section together. Weave a piece of colorful thin braid rope, or ribbon, or fishing line with Native American breads in and out with the braid. Have the ribbon glue gunned around the top of the braid. Tie off the bottom with fishing line and leave the line loose and a little longer than the hair.
Put the braid on the photo mat by glue gunning the top piece and bottom piece/ribbon. This way they can take the braid off the mat if they want to. On the other side, get scrapbook type horseshoes and have several going up the mat….. or draw them if you’re good at that.
You might could also make a small brass plate with his name on it and tack it on the bottom of the frame.
I also have put a horse photo on the top of a photo box. Inside was the horses braided hair, a spray painted horse shoe – of the horse -, and several photographs I had of the horse.
I would also go to a discount store and buy at least 3 long flower garlands to drape around the grave. Maybe a concrete planter with rocks and silk flowers for the head of the grave.
You are such a nice daughter-in-law to be so kind and caring. Just the type of friend I would want to have, too !
God bless you !

Where did the saying, "Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth" come from?
By admin on Mar. 28, 2010.
And is this refering to girl horse because they’ll bite your nuts off?
It probably comes from an old, bearded man who looked into a horses’ mouth, when the horse mistook his beard for a handful of hay.

Where is the best place to buy horse show clothes?
By admin on Mar. 28, 2010.
I’m going to start showing soon, and I want to have good show clothes to wear. Cheap clothes are loved. As long as I like them and they are affordable, I’ll be happy.
I’m going to be showing in the Western catagories, so that means I’ll need pants, long sleeve shirts, a saddle blanket that matches my shirt, and either a helmet or a cowboy hat to wear when showing.
I use these guys quite alot, they don’t ship to N. America though, I have family in UK so I get it sent there and they send it on to me.
I also use Ebay quite alot, but again use the UK Ebay!

Horse Hair Craft Ideas?
By admin on Mar. 25, 2010.
ok I’ve been messing around with some horse hair and like i have all these strands of braided horse hair lying all around. so do you have any ideas of how to make things? i’m not really wanting jewelry ideas that much. I’ve already made necklaces, bracelets, and rings. i’m looking for ideas out side the box please. =)
I have a friend who has a key chain thing made out of horse hair. You may be able to make something like that.

What would be a nice Christmas gift for a 10 year old girl? ?
By admin on Mar. 25, 2010.
She is a neighbor and a special little girl. Previous years she was very much into horses, but she seems to have moved on from that this year. I would like to give something meaningful, but not big or expensive. Thank you for any ideas.
something with hanna montana or high school musical
