I ‘m looking for jewelry to wear to my horse show and can’t find anything. Hobby Horse doesn’t have anything I like. There is this site called horseshowclothing.com. They have some earrings that I like but that is it. Do you guys know of any sites that have any neat stuff?
Neither Sergeant’s or Rod’s has anyhting that looks nice. It’s mostly crosses and horseshoe necklaces. I have tried a search engine and nothing came up. What else?
Ebay always has some nice stuff and you may also try Seargents western wear or Rod’s western wear. . Just do not go real outlandish. No big dangle earrings or anything that moves, jangles, or swings. To distracting. Nice and neat.

I work with a special needs child, I need a good xmas gift idea for her?

I take care of a little 12 year old girl who is severely cognitively (mentally) impaired, she is non verbal, and enjoys coloring, horses, music, and almost everything, She is non verbal, and puts alot of stuff in her mouth so whatever it is has to be non toxic. Any ideas?
Awww…You’re so lucky to work w/ her. She sound like a sweety.
I would purchase a Stuffed Horse. Maybe she might like something soft.

Fun horse gifts for christmas?

Hi! Ok, so I do not have a horse yet, but I AM getting one, hopefully this year (yeah, I know I’ve been saying that forever, its hard to find the perfect horse). Anyways, what are some good products that I could ask for for xmas that are pretty generic for any horse (ie grooming products)? Any particularly good brands or new products that make life easier? Thanks!!
And it has to be cheap stuff (no saddles) and can’t be specific to one horse (like a bit or girth). And I have a halter and leadrope, riding crop, saddle pad, and grooming bag already. And my riding clothes are taken care of.
Halter, lead rope, lungeline, side reins if you plan to use them, TACK, riding clothes (breeches, boots, etc.), bathing supplies- shampoo, sponges, sweat scraper, bucket, show sheen. For grooming supplies, I suggest Oster- some of their stuff is expensive, but they are nice. I would definitely recommend their mane and tail brush- I like it a lot.
These are just a few of the items you will need. I would recommend looking at a few websites for tack shops, like doversaddlery.com, statelinetack.com, or horse.com to help make a longer list of things you will need. Let me tell you, when I bought my first horse my trip to tractor supply cost me over $200 and that was just for the little stuff like brushes and a halter/lead! Very smart of you to ask for them for Christmas :0)

The expression "Never look a gift horse in the mouth" what does it mean?

I hear the saying from time to time, but I never
really gave it any thought until now.
This proverb is based on the fact that a horse’s value is determined by his age, which, in turn, can be roughly determined by an examination of his teeth. The message conveyed is that a gift should be appreciated for the thought and spirit behind it, not according to its value.

Godfather birthday party?

I’m having a Godfather/Italian mob murder mystery party.
I have some questions:
1) Do you think the costume idea for females could be old Hollywood glamour? Think Marilyn Monroe.
2) Any ideas for activities, aside from the murder mystery?
3) Ideas for a grand entrance?
4) Ideas for a cake (not a horse’s head).?
5) List of food ideas?
6) Decor Ideas?
7) Anything else? I really need some advice!
1) Sounds good.
2) I think the mystery part will fill up enough time where there won’t be any time for anything else. (JMO)
3) No idea on that.
4) A horse head is actually the best choice. (IMO)
5) Any of the Italian dishes that are mentioned in either the "Godfather" films or from "The Sopranos" TV show.
6) & 7) Check the mob films & TV shows for further ideas…
Sounds like a fun time. Very interesting theme, too.
