What do you think of these names for a teen horse clothing store??

By admin on Nov. 20, 2009.

I recently asked everyone for ideas for my new teen/young adult equestrian clothing store and i got barely any answers, so i am back to see what you guys think of the ideas i have in mind. Please any comments or suggestions would be great!
The store is an english riding store for women from the age of 13-27 because i am myself in that age range, and i have searched countlessly for a site with actually stylish equestrian clothing and have found only things for 6-12 year olds. I would be selling saddle pads, breeches, jeans, jewelry, chaps, saddle covers, cellphone charms, shirts, bags, and all with equestrians in mind with an upscale fashionable feel. I already have bought 10 domains but i cant decide between them.
Here they are:
Equine Chic Boutique
Fancy Filly
Hidden Horse Treasures
Hideaway Horse
Trotting Treasures
Elegant Equine Boutique
Greener Pastures Designs
Galloping Free
I am looking for something that sounds upscale like the new store Equine Couture. Thanks!

Fancy Filly, Trotting Treasures, and Elegant Equine Boutique are my favorites ^^ sounds like an awesome idea keep us posted because I will definetly be buying lol…STOCK UP ON CUTE SADDLE PADS haha *so I have a MINOR addiction* lol

Any good ideas for a horse lover/equestrian gift?

By admin on Nov. 20, 2009.

I live in the US and I am swapping Christmas presents with a friend who lives in England. I need ideas for a few small to medium gifts that I can send to her and her horse

She has a 18 month old Welsh cross, and she is 17 if that helps at all.

Here are a few of my ideas:
Friend
-A t-shirt from the horse farm that I board/work at
-A CD of a few of my favorite songs
-A DVD slideshow of pictures/short video of the farm, my horse and I

Her horse:
-A bag of treats
-New brush(es)
-Halter

I need more ideas. I’m not sure that I want to use all of the ones tha I’ve had, but I just thought I’d throw them out. Any other ideas? Any and all ideas appreciated!

Is it smart to accept gifts from women you just met?

By admin on Nov. 15, 2009.

things like free food at restaurants, clothes, etc
u know those days when ur dressed all nice and feeling good
and have that extra bounce in your step and u get girls attention
and they try to hook you up with stuff – i usually decline and say no thank you – ive never been past that point seems awfully close to pimping
is it dangerous to accept those things? like would I be going to a point that I could never return from?
or should a just take the stuff and not look a gift horse in the mouth – I mean 95% women do this on a daily basis – accepting gifts from a man – this type of thing only happens to me every once in a while
maybe not 95% but a good chunk of them do

There are three ways to look at the situation

1. If she is hot, why not sleep with her? I mean she’s already paid for the services through the gifts.

2. If you don’t want to sleep with her, but the gifts are of some resale value I’d accept them and sell them on Ebay.

3. If you have a backbone and morals, I’d not accept any gifts from anybody I didn’t love.

Were is a cheap site to get cool horse shirts and gifts for super cheap?

By admin on Nov. 15, 2009.

I was just wondering were you could possibly get nice horse desighned shirts for cheap and horse gifts. Thanks

www.smartpakequine.com -great post xmas sales in January and February. Shop for winter stuff in early July/Late June.

www.chickssaddlery.com -they often run good sales and have fun gifts

www.horse.com or www.countrysupply.com they have some great horse tees for 10-15$

www.arcolafeed.com often runs sales on Ariat

Stay away from Dover, overpriced made in India goods, rip off shipping and poor customer service

If there is a Tractor Supply Company near you they often have good deals as well, especially near the holidays.

Have fun!

What does "don’t look a gift horse in the mouth" mean ?

By admin on Nov. 15, 2009.

I believe I’m saying this old saying correctly. I always hear people using this old saying and I still haven’t learned the meaning of it?

If you were to buy a horse, one of the things you do to check if it’s OK is to look at its teeth–to see if they are in good condition and to see the age and health of the horse. If you were to be lucky enough to be given a horse, it would be very bad form to look at its teeth to see if it was ok. You would assume it was sound. So, metaphorically, if some wonderful piece of good fortune ‘ a gift horse’ were to come your way, don’t ruin it by looking for flaws, looking it in the mouth.

HELP! I need an elegant but catchy name for an interior design store.?

By admin on Nov. 15, 2009.

it will be located in horse country, quaint village setting. High-end items from vintage European furniture and chandeliers to personal accessories. Please do not use "decor"… :-)

Being in horse country my suggestion is to call it, "The Hunt." It could be reminiscent of an Old English fox hunting party and will help sell your European accent pieces. You can use some scenes of a fox hunt, some hounds and English horsemanship around the shop. You can still keep it "Country European", but it will have a touch of sophistication as fox hunting was a sport undertaken primarily by the upper class.
And as people are always "hunting" for a lovely addition to their home, the name of the shop will have a double meaning!
Oh! And don’t forget to invite everyone to join the "Saddle Club." When they submit their email addresses you can send updates on new items you’ve added or any specials you’re having.

Does anyone know of any good websites for ordering apparel, necklaces or anything of that sort that she would like. She does have one magazine that she has shown me but i can not remember the name! This probably isn’t the place to find that out. Try posting under a more appropriate category, or take it to an antiques dealer. Good Luck!!
