Can you watch for cheap Hobby Horse clothes for sale?
By admin on Oct. 27, 2009.
Hobby Horse in CA was broken into this week and had $250,000 worth of chaps, show clothes, limited edition clothes, etc. stolen. Company computers and other electronics weren’t touched. If you come across someone selling cheap Hobby Horse clothes or any unusual vendor with these things at a show or event, call the local PD and have them checked out. It would be incredible if this crime could be solved by someone reading about the theft on YA.
Already am. Got the message through a couple of horse forums I’m on.
Who knows about horse clothing!?!?
By admin on Oct. 27, 2009.
I know nothing about horses. I had to pick clothing for them.. I just need the definition of the turn out blanket, turn our sheet, dress sheet, stable sheet, and fly sheet.
Any other clothing they wear?
Thanks!
Why don’t you ask this is the horses category, you will get a lot more answer!
Turn out blanket – Don’t know, manybe just a light blanket for the summer or an under rug for grass kept horses.
Turn out sheet – Could be a rain sheet (waterproof) or newzealand rug.
Don’t know what a dress sheet it!
Stable sheet – a stable rug, usually quite light for horses kept in at night
fly sheet – a very kinda light material, goes under the stomach and up the neck to stop fly bites in the summer!

Where can i buy a father’s gift for a horse lover who resides in North Carolina?
By admin on Oct. 27, 2009.
If you have the money, how about a piece of memorabilia, like Roy Rodger’s harness for his horse, Trigger?
Of if your resources are limited, how about a book on horses, about all the breeds, how and why they were bred into different sizes and for different uses. Make it one with lots of high quality photos, like a coffee table book.
Does he have horses? If not, how about a gift certificate to a riding stable?

how to on horse hair jewelry, keychains, etc.?
By admin on Oct. 24, 2009.
One of the women who boards her horse at the same barn as i do, is a SGT from my fiancee’s armory, and she asked me to keep an eye on her horse while she was gone. i would love to send her a lock of mane, or tail, but in something like a keychain that she can carry with her and i don’t havve time to send hair to someone to do it for me. any ideas on how i can make someting and make it well enough where it won’t fall apart while shes overseas? thank you so much
I’ve never seen this before, but a quick search makes me think that you can use any braiding/weaving technique as long as you have the horsehair to begin with. Sounds like a cool gift ide.
Plastic lacing ("boondoggle") sites should have lots of patterns for bracelets or keychain lanyards.
Here’s some info on collecting hair to use:
1.Grasp the longest hairs at the bottom of the tail.
2.Lift the longest hairs over to the side with one hand and with the other hand pull the shorter hairs away. Separate away as many short hairs as possible so you are only cutting the longest hair.
3.Cut close to the tailbone.
4.Cut 2-4 bunches from different places on the tail so you do not cut too big a chunk from one place.
5.The final bundle should be about the diameter of a pencil. 6.For a standard sized bracelet the length needs to be 15-18 inches long. For a necklace the length needs to be about twice the length of the finished necklace.
7.Tie a rubber band around the bundle. Please do not use tape.
8.The hair should be clean and free of tangles or mats. Do not knot or braid the hair.
9.To clean the hair; with the hair secured with a rubber band wash the hair with shampoo and rinse clean. Please do not add oil, show sheen, or any other similar product to the hair. Blot the hair dry with towels and hang to to dry. A hair dryer may be used to speed the drying process. Make sure it is completely dry before shipping.

Little gifts for 5 & 7 year old girls?
By admin on Oct. 24, 2009.
So…they are my b.f’s neices in town for a visit with their mother. Last time they were in town it was my Birthday and they made me home made cards. It was very cute. I would like to send them a little welcome back card and some little gifts because I think they’ll enjoy getting mail…but what do I send??? Stickers? Girls like stickers, right? What else? Maybe even a little package full of goodies. They think they’re princesses and like horses. Any ideas?
They should have princess or fairy snap cards at your local toy store. You can get some in really pretty little boxes and they don’t weigh much so you can mail them.
Things like blowing bubbles, glittery hairclips and bands, bangles and little pots of lipgloss and stickers, like you said, would make a good little package. And you can get them really cheap from your local $1 or $2 store.

Goode horse gifts. Please answer!!!!! Will choose best answer?
By admin on Oct. 24, 2009.
What are some homemade horse gifts that I can make people for christmas? Even if its not christmasie that is fine. Please please please answer!!!!!!! Anything horsey will do.
Thankyou very much!
Merry Christmas
I love horses!!!!!!
Thanks for the great tips
but anything else then treats please
People really LOVE homemade horse treats, but if you do not want to make a mess, here are other ideas:
1) Picture Frame. Put horse stickers and stuff on it, people love to show off their horses in a frame.
2) Ribbon Rack. Make a rack for people to show their ribbons off with. Take two pieces of wood long side up and nail on three or four other "racks" for them to hang their ribbons on. Decorate (paint it or something) and your good to go. People LOVE this gift.
3) Book holders. Paint a set of book holders for horse-lovers to use for their books. Paint them with a horse reading or if you are not an artist, go online and find a stencil.

Did both Laocoon and Minerva distrusted the Greek gift of the wooden horse?
By admin on Oct. 24, 2009.
In the story about Troy and the gift of the wooden horse, who distrusted the gift of the wooden horse that the Greeks gave to Troy?
Minerva belongs to Roman mythology.
If you mean Athena, as far as I can remember, she supported the Greeks, (favo(u)rer of Odysseus), so no need to distrust the gift.
Laocoon tried to warn the Trojans but he didn’t make it.

How do I tea stain a lamp shade?
By admin on Oct. 24, 2009.
I have a large white lamp shade I’d like to tea stain to match my decor which is a horse/barn type theme. Can someone give me instructions. ( I think it’s too large to fit all down in a sink or bucket) Thanks!
I have used teabags to stain a few things in the past.
Old teabags soaked in cold water hold your lampshade over the bath if it is too big for the basin, using the wet t/bags wipe over the lampshade until covered allow to dry naturally repeat for the desired shade you want, remember the shade will be slightly lighter when dry.
